January notes..

After a busy fall, I have some time to reflect and work on new pieces.

The Don Valley Art Clubs’ November show was a tremendous success and one original piece of mine sold at the opening night artist reception. What a great way to begin my journey with the club. Thank you to all who came out to support me and the club.

I have been working on a variety of pieces – some abstract some impressionism. A few have found new homes, and I am happy to report the commissioned 3ft x 4ft piece was delivered and received very well. That one took  a while, and although I am used to painting relatively quickly, I did enjoy the slower process for this piece. Featured above- “Rosedale” copyright @the artist.

I am excited to share that I will be travelling to Ireland in the very near future. Anxious to view the Cliffs Of Moher, Galway, The Burren, Belfast and just beetle around Dublin. Hope to fit in The Abby Theatre, Dublin Writers Museum and The National Library which has the Yeats exhibit.  A lot of photographs will be taken and I anticipate the next several months will be absorbed with images of Ireland that will need to come out on canvas. I suspect I will be very busy…oh and a wedding in a castle top off the entire trip.

Cheers and happy Winter all.
