Caroline Hayden is an abstract impressionistic artist. She has a full-time career in the public service, but makes time to create – reflecting on everyday life and nature within the urban centre. Her love of vivid colours and how they appear in nature is the basis of her palette. The majority of her art is inspired by the things seen in everyday life and her travels.
She has been an East York resident since 1986 having transplanted herself from the Maritimes to study Theatre and Scenic Artistry.
After a long hiatus she returned to painting, taking up acrylics in 2016 after a friend requested a painting as a wedding gift.
The majority of her works are acrylics and water based oils on canvas, hardboard or wooden panels.
She is a member of the Don Valley Art Club (DVAC). Her work has previously exhibited at the former “Gallery Without Walls”, Toronto; and most recently at “The Last Drop”, Coxwell and Sammon Ave. East York.
Original works are sold as one offs and commissioned pieces are available.
